Somaliland: The Wild Honeybee (Shini Caydh Ah)

The sun rises in the morning with beams of love, and freedom for a beautiful World. But we, human beings make it a hard place to live in. By imposing hate, jealousy, slavery, exploitation, and greed. Our culture of corruption makes our World a frightening place to live in. Anger starts and ends with doom and gloom. Travels you through the dark tunnels of worries, and woes. Plunges you into the ocean of annihilation. Then smile, why are you frowning? What is the use of crying?

A moment is the chemistry of life. A moment of hate, or a moment of passion. A moment of fear, or a moment of love. A moment of disappointment, or a moment of cheering. A moment of despair, or a moment of hope. A moment you wait with good expectations can be a moment of defiance, or a moment of delight.

As an octogenarian who has seen neither the light of democracy; nor has breathed the breeze of freedom since his birthday. I am zero and getting increasingly cynical about politics in general. Particularly the new version of the legislative body of Somaliland, does not restore my optimism. That is why I believe much that there are only two ways to slide easily through life, during this dark rule of Mr.Silanyo. Either to believe everything, or to doubt everything. But neither way suits my ultimate choice. Even though both ways saves me from serious thinking.

Because in this present Era, thinking has become a disease. Mr.Tolly said in his book of Enlightenment. The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. But if used wrongly, however, it becomes a very destructive element. Just as dogs love to eat bones, the mind loves to get its teeth into problems. That is why it does crossword puzzles; and builds further atomic bombs for destruction. Just ignore what you hear through the dirty mouths of the African politicians. They have one head with two faces. It is sad but true.

Being a father of eight kids with unshaved heads and a wife with a ringing tongue. Plus my vivid memory that rewinds the pain of the past; the heavy burden of the present doubts; and the uncertainty of the future shock of the coming tomorrow. Due to the above factors, Sleeping is very hard, if not impossible to get. Many echo are whispered to our ears but few are true. We always applaud today in a hurry ; and suddenly scream and regret tomorrow. Without giving an apology to yesterday.

Because, we, the public masses are fools. And the heart of the fool is in his mouth, but the mouth of a wise man is in his heart. We always assign the fox to look after the sheep. Often lie down with dogs; and then complain about why we get up with fleas. Act irresponsibly, and be the first to pick up the new; and the last to lay down the old. Blowing in the fire to get sparks in our eyes. Then immediately start to cry.

That is why we always get stuck in a deadlock of a dilemma. No matter how fashion changes; a ruffled temper will never be in style. The family that prays together, stays together. We must revise the past; study and analyze the present; if we want to divine the future. My mother should have called me stupid, the first time my head had hit the earth planet.

Sir Aubrey De Vere said, every one has a purpose in life. A unique gift or special talent to give to others. When we blend this unique talent with service to others; we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit. Which is the ultimate goal of all falling like dew upon a thought , produces thousands to think and do beneficial deeds to others. A fox has a hole, a bird has a nest; but the son of Somaliland has no where to lay his head.

African politicians are one head with two faces. They sit on our backs and choking us up to death; and yet assure us with a wicked smile; that they feel sorry for us. They always burp on us; and we taste and smell again and again, that raw onion which they have swallowed twenty years ago. They are completely false prophets which come to you in sheep’s clothing. But inwardly, they are ravening wolves. They are punishing us with our own mistake for electing them. They believe that the hand that breaks the cradle is the hand that rules the World.

Erigabo Region is burning, prices are skyrocketing, poverty and disease are touching all walks of life, inflation is at the highest rate, friction is escalating between Parliament and the official parties, and unemployment is at the highest point Yet Mr. Silanyo is taking his R&R ( Rest & Relaxation trips ) in Europe; and assures us by a wicked smile that everything is under control.

More disgustingly, our Legal – Eagle( Parliament ) is blinded by the gold dust. Because their breakfast is on the lip of the lion, and simply because their fate is trembling on the balance. That is why they have passed a bill that will put the whole country in chaos and confusion. Inciting the public masses to rebellion and agitation against the authority. In the Era of President Riyalle’s regime, our legislative body used to claim that they have endorsed many legislations, and it is locked up by the president.

But their present attitude and ill – treatment proves that they were lying up to the teeth. Because, since the arrival of the present regime, the parliament has passed only two odd legislation. The first one was endorsing how much money can fit their wallet, and how much is enough to satisfy their greedy stomach. The second legislation which is more dangerous and risky to our existence as a new born democratic state. It is giving the member of parliament the privilege to be a free electron, and a free agent that can bargain with the most profitable lump sum of money that can suit their greed and selfishness.

It needs no saying that our Honey –Bee turned to be Wild – Bee. That is sad but true. The despair has become more frequent and more intense than before. Mistrust and doubts has colored our lives. All that is fish that comes to their nest. The collective noun for locusts is plague. This second legislation will lead the country into a deadlock, chaos, and confusion. It is a total dilemma. We, the public earnestly beg the president and the Traditional Leaders not to adopt that legislation, and to throw it in the dust – pin.

If at all they care about the country more better than this Greedy Parliament. Otherwise the whole nation would be in chaos and confusion. I can bet with my last penny. The president must stop that legislation with the straw of the pen. We have every reason to say otherwise.

There is a compelling reason for the president to dissect presidential decision – making at it’s most crucial and, at times, most devious and controversial moments. Mr.Silanyo, every president takes an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the nation that he serves, when bold risky situation faces the country. This pledge demands courageous and difficult decision. His choice can change history.

Lyndon Johnson’s daring choice to champion Civil Rights Legislation; Ronald Reagan’s defiant commitment to the “Star Wars “Missile Defense System; and Franklin D Roosevelt’s courageous plan to arm Britain in World War Second. The president must revise and read contexts, conflicts, and legacies behind the most crucial turning points of every dilemma situation. He must revise the past, study and analyze the present; if he wants to divine the future. History now and England.

After few days we will be bald. I can bet with my last penny.
