Dear Somaliland People, Leadership is not about appointments nor elective to offices, but the charisma to inspire people to a particular cause of concern. the truth shall be told some day. Some of you are mentioned about the tax/payers money which the city council should use for cleaning, that is 100% true, since I have seen even small towns in other African country, are being daily cleaned by council workers everyday. I thought that this time we will go straight to the point, but we did dwindle a lot, no wonder we still live in the woods. So the question we must ask is where does the Somaliland city council money for cleaning do go.!
We have our local authorities ( councils, municipalities and commissions) operating under by-laws and Acts of parliament. That is to say, they have a legal backing to cleaning services to the city and residents. First, cleaning cities and towns is a core responsibility of the city/municipal councils through our taxes we pay. If we really love our people, it’d not be true love to institute nationwide city/town cleaning without ensuring our taxes have been applied to the last penny.
Within such administrative units, we can make a private companies and organizations that do the chores under certain regulations. The administrative units can hire private entities ( registered companies) to do the cleaning job – say cleaning. They can also ask someone to do. Others offer their voluntary services and receive donations to do certain tasks.
Granted, Moyer and his team hit the road and have sponsors. The best you can offer is to volunteer, or make a donation. Should you find something wrong, come up with your formula of doing it better. So we can do the clean up under a monthly time table, The normal is to carry your own cleaning or planting equipment to the site, do your work and go back. No expenses for those days. Institutions, schools, and other organizations can also do it in their areas to plant trees, flowers, or any other activity they want to do to help their institution we have the local charters fully informed and never count it a substitute but an addition or a return to the society.
John F. Kennedy the most respected USA leader once pointed that “never question what the society has done to you, but tell us what you can do to the society”. You are born of the society very many things may not be right its at this point that you see what is wrong and move to make it right. Here, find a various organizations such as “Somaliland Cleaning Team“ just make it now and then be a lead, cleaning as a profession is also very luxury job, I have seen in so many country that most of the people owning cleaning companies are milliners, so when we make that i am sure other individuals and the local authorities they participate directly
Perhaps if each one of us started a project and sought to harness the numbers for gathering and mobilization resources for action to realize the set objectives. All these is about pulling the nation together and so the need to carry out programs that inspire than otherwise.
